Alternative Housing for Older Adults Seminar Series

Homesharing April 2nd from 8:30AM-11:00AM

Laura Fanucchi is the Vice President of National Shared Housing Resource Center. The NSHRC was established in 1980 by Maggie Kuhn, founder of the Grey Panthers. She passionately believed there must be more opportunities for intergenerational living and that seniors shouldn’t be isolated and alone or warehoused and forgotten. She is considered by many to have started a contemporary cultural revolution, both in terms of redefining the meanings of age and housing, and through her insistence on “young and old together.”  NSHRC provides support to “matching home sharing” programs.  Laura is also the Program Director HIP Housing, San Mateo, a nonprofit organization providing multiple housing support programs.
