What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a focused day of giving that takes place annually in the United States on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The day is described as “a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity.”

This Giving Tuesday, the fight for quality education is more critical than ever. We know quality early education is one of the best investments for the future economic health of our community. Every dollar invested in Early Education yields a $12 economic impact. High-quality early learning is often underfunded and out of reach for many families. Your United Way of Tucson is working hard with schools, teachers, families, partners, and local government to improve educational and life outcomes for children, youth, and young adults. Last year, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona and our partner programs distributed 188,884 books to children. Now more than ever we must work to improve educational and life outcomes for children, youth, and young adults by advancing equity and excellence in education in Tucson and Southern Arizona.
