Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

Free, quality tax preparation from our local network of IRS-certified preparers for individuals and families earning up to $79,000 annually.

The deadline to file taxes is April 15, 2024 – but we recommend an early start. This can help ensure you receive your refund in a timely fashion, or help you prepare in case you owe money. Payments can be scheduled for any date up to the filing deadline, so early preparation does not have to mean early payment.

Choose the Option that Works Best for You

DIY Self Prep Software

Do your taxes for free, on your own or with volunteer assistance at one of our DIY workshops.

Access to tax preparation software for individuals who wish to complete their taxes themselves. Assistance is available via request to our online help desk, with responses provided within three business days. If you try this option, but choose not to complete the process, you are free to switch to another option. Please note that tax returns completed with income above the $79,000 limit cannot be filed and will be automatically locked by the software. Updated link available now! NOTE: If you experience any issues accessing the DIY software request form, please submit a ticket via the link at the bottom of this page.
