Tell us a little about yourself:

I am Nikiyia Mumphery, and I am from Jacksonville FL. I am a confident and fierce Leo that loves to network. I am currently in the Air Force in which I am a data analyst for pilots (Aviation resource management). I have a passion for basketball, I played division 2 university prior to entering the Air Force. I have a Bachelors in Business Administration and am currently pursuing my masters in Business Analytics. Outside of work I spend my time playing basketball, shopping and just being the diva that I am !

How did you first get involved with YLU & TYP?
I started attending YLU events and felt that my values aligned with the mission.

What was the most valuable thing you’ve learned as a young professional?
As a young professional I’ve learned that you have to put yourself out there, nothing is out of reach, no matter how young you are, there is always someone that you can impact. I live by the saying “Be the change you want to see.”

How do you get involved in your community?
I organize drives, cleanup and more. I volunteer for lots of things that involves our youth because it starts with them!

What do you love most about Tucson?
I love how the community comes together to support each other, and of course the scenery is the icing on the cake!
